When will a Nigerian bank appoint its first Chief Data Officer?

Many Nigerian banks go through the digital transformation without a Chief Data Officer. If the banks want to go through the process of digital transformation, they need someone who would own the data. Data from Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Treasury, Human Resources, Product development, Financial Control etc. Someone should be responsible for the entire data portfolio that the banks need to do business profitably. That is the Chief Data Officer – CDO. The CDO is someone with the title, the authority, who pulls the weight and owns ALL the data from the organization. And must be within the same rank as the CxOs.
