DASCA

When does your training program start?

The program are taken in different cohorts for 3months. Follow our media pages or contact us at certification@octaveanalytics.com to get more information about when the next cohort will begin.

Will the DASCA training be taken online or physically?

We use a hybrid training model which allows our training to be taken both physically and online. You can decide to take the training completely online or take some classes onsite in addition to the online sessions.

How much is the DASCA certification and training?

The cost for differs by certification, however our training fee is N150,000.

How long does the DASCA certification valid?

The DASCA certification is valid for 3 years and above depending on type of certification.

Can I pay for my training and certification in installments?

Yes, you can. We offer a payment plan of up to 3 installments. You can email us at certification@octaveanalytics.com for more information.

Can I take both the Analyst and Engineering certification and training together?

Although this is expensive and not advisable, it is possible for you to take the two tracks and sit for the exams.

What are the prerequisites, requirements and/or skills required to take the DASCA certifications?

Associate Big Data Analyst (ABDA™)
– Bachelor’s Degree : Experience not Mandatory; basic proficiency in working with data/ Statistics/ Business Analytics/ Business Intelligence/ Computing
– Associate Degree/ Diploma : Minimum 2 years of experience in working with data/ Statistics/ Business Analytics/ Business Intelligence/ Computing
Associate Big Data Engineer (ABDE™)
– Bachelor’s Degree : Experience not Mandatory; basic proficiency in using Python/ JAVA or any other programming language is desirable
– Associate Degree/ Diploma : Minimum 2 years of computing experience with proficiency in using Python/ JAVA or any other programming language
Senior Big Data Analyst (SBDA™)

How can I get my DASCA certificate?

The certificate will be shipped to your mailing address after success in your certification exam.

How long is the DASCA training?

Our DASCA training spans for 3 months.

After I register for my certification, how long do I have to prepare for my exams?

The exam window for any of the certifications opens 45 days after confirmation of registration, and exam dates can be chosen online. You’ll be given a six months window to schedule your exam.

What are the laptop specifications for undergoing the training?

What is the mode of training for the program?

We have an hybrid training model which includes, instructor-led online classes and onsite training.

How is the certification exam (duration, number of questions)?

The duration is 100minutes for 75 or 85 questions depending on the type of certification.

What is the mode of the certification exam?

All DASCA certification exams are completely online and digitally proctored. You can take the exam anywhere, even at home or in your office. You’ll need your computer and ExamStrong™ verified environment prior to taking the exam.

Can I undergo the training without certifications?

No, this option is not available for our DASCA training.

Graduate Training Program

When is the next cohort starting?

Information about this will be sent out on the training website and our social media pages.

What are the criteria for getting into the program?

You must be done with your Undergraduate program and completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

What are the benefits available to Graduate Trainees?

At the end of the 3 months training program, our graduates leave with;

-The internationally recognized DASCA certification.

-Real work experience on real-life data science projects including data engineering.

-Access to job opportunities both locally and internationally.

Can I apply for the program as an undergraduate?

No, You cannot

Will the training program be taken online or physically?

With our hybrid training model, the program will be taken both online and physically.

Is the graduate training program free or paid?

This is a paid program.

How much does the graduate training program cost?

The training program cost is based on your successful completion of the entrance stages, as scholarships will be given to participants.

Can I pay for my training in installments?

We have a payment plan which is part of the agreements between the company and the trainee before onboarding on the program.

Can I take both the Analyst and Engineering training tracks together?

No, you cannot. Although, you have to attend both classes to broaden your learning.

Kids Code

When does the next cohort start?

The Kids Code Summer School comes up during the summer holiday in August. The dates will be announced in July.

What is the age range for trainees?

There are 3 age groups for the training;

Tiny Coders – 5-7 years

Bloomy Coders – 8 -10 years

Astro Coders – 11- 13 years

What are the requirements for the program?

A laptop with working microphone, speaker and the specifications below;

Processor (minimum): 8 core Pentium 4, 2 GHz (x64)
RAM (minimum): 4 GB
Hard drive (minimum): 4 GB

This specifications are to enable smooth running of the different applications to be used.

The program is to be held online.

What is the mode of training for the program?

The training will be an instructor-led live training.

What is the duration of the program?

This is a paid program.
